PRIMA en casa

Two new exhibits undertake the challenge of expanding the gallery’s scope and work.

This year, Galería PRIMA aims to redefine and refresh itself with a new perspective by not just looking inwards but by opening its doors outwards as well. The two new expositions presented by Galería PRIMA both artists from ProyectArte as well as invited artists. Vero Albrecht, Iván Enquin, Gonzalo Maciel, Mercedes Peñalva, and Meche Vilela are the creators and artists of “Enhebrados” (“Threaded”), the latest exhibit to open to the public, in Galería PRIMA’s classic space (Castillo 540, Villa Crespo). The exhibit is a unique exposition of necklaces made from unconventional materials that interact with supporting artwork in the gallery made by graduates of ProyectArte. “Enhebrados” can be visited until May 10th, Mondays-Fridays from 2-8 PM and Saturdays from 2-6 PM. Meanwhile, on April 28th, Galería PRIMA and Gustavo Mosteiro will be working together to provide a space for three groups of artists, making a journey from the figurative to the abstract. It is a variety of works that connects various rooms in a house to be part of the same frame. Working on the project will be Mariano Benedetti, Cristina Cama Guerreros, Iván Enquin, Mariano García, Florentina González, Lucila Mur, Mercedes Peñalva, Matías Presta y Jessica Tortul, all of whom are participants in ProyectArte’s Graduate Program.
